@JohnnyBoone99 Surprised the taxpayers are not revolting. LSU will not even repair their library...

LIV Golf Virginia Final Thoughts:
1)The argument is over. LIV Golf is here to stay, is a great product, and has momentum, no matter which county the event is held in. This was a GREAT event in Virginia at an amazing golf course!
2)Joaquin Niemann is the best young golfer in the world right now. There is not another under 27 year old that is consistently performing at his level. His Sunday performances this year have been unflappable, even while playing with pressure and with legends like Rahm and Bryson next to him. So impressive.
3)This may have been the most fun leaderboard in LIV history. The heavyweights were there, but having guys like Bubba and Phil in the mix made it electric. I'm so happy for both of those guys. The past few years on LIV, you hardly even knew that they were there, and now they are in the conversation! Awesome!
4)Speaking of Phil, that shot he hit on 17 was one of the greatest I've ever seen and added to the list of highlight moments from his legendary career. I'm not sure what happened with Phil, but he seems to be back to being happy and playing so well. I wonder if his involvement with Grant Horvat and YouTube golf has had a direct correlation with that? No matter the reason, having a soon to be 55 year old in this kind of conversation again is nothing short of remarkable. Phil has had one of the Top 10 careers in golf history and will be remembered as nothing but a legend.
5)The only negative about this tournament was the weather. Even despite that, this may have been the best LIV event on American soil. Nashville last year was amazing, and there have been others as well, but the combo of crowd size, golf course, and leaderboard made this go to the top. I think Indianapolis might give it a run for its money later this season, though!
6)I am not a big fan of the mid-season break. The last month felt like a LONG time to wait between tournaments. I think the original intent was trades, etc, but I hope in future years this time is filled with another couple of tournaments to push the season total up to 16 or so.
7)It is HUGE that the Fireballs signed the reigning US Amateur Champion to their team this week. I think the timing of it maybe made the news a little muted, but this is a massive signing once again. The haters will blah blah blah about peeing in the creek, but another top young talent has chosen LIV. The rivalry between LIV and the PGAT rages on!
8)Feel a little bad for Lahiri... he has been knocking on the door at 5 tournaments now only to finish runner up every time. On the other hand, this was the first time that GMac was in contention at LIV, and it was great to see him in the mix.
9)I've always liked Bryson, but I never would have imagined that he would ever reach this level of greatness and consistency that he is at now. He is a legit threat to win EVERY tournament that he is in right now, and in this one he helped lead his Crushers to the Team Championship! Bryson is flying high, and I'm starting to see more and more of his Crushers gear around in the general public and at golf courses. He is pure gold for LIV, and LIV has been great for him as well.
10)I was disappointed that Yubin Jang faded in the final round. I think he was an important signing in the off-season, and I want to see him climb out of the relegation zone. I once again want to suggest that LIV changes their points system. Yubin is much better than a lot of guys around him in the standings, but hasn't been able to crack into the Top 24 much and therefore is receiving the same points as guys who are finishing in the 50s every tournament. Hope he gets some high finishes to close out the season!
Well, on to the US Open! Good luck to the LIV guys, and I hope that one of them comes out on top!

Can you think of anyone you’d replace on @jaysonst’s MLB All-Quarter-Century Team?
(If you say Ohtani over Ortiz, my answer is maybe [probably?] at some point, but not yet.)
For me, the lowest-hanging fruit is Molina, but is anyone actually a lock to replace him? I’m not sure.

@TronCarterNLU As a former Charlotte resident I will not defend anyone telling you that you’re off base. But if you want some damn good wings go to Moosehead. Only place I’d go to bat for in that city
