Some people steal portfolio projects from Behance and Dribbble, then pray the client never asks questions on the call 😂. If you’re getting into UI/UX or Webflow, you need practice projects to actually show clients. Full website builds. Not just random hero sections. Here’s what I did. Anyone that knew me when I started on X knew I was always connecting with designers and devs. Whenever I came across a solid Figma design, I’d reach out to the designer and ask if I could bring it to life in Webflow. A few people said yes. That alone gave me enough projects to start showing clients. Most beginners are too focused on “looking experienced” instead of actually building. The better move is collaboration. Reach out. Build. Document the process. Post the results. You’ll learn faster, build real relationships, and actually be able to defend your work when clients ask questions.

This is exactly how I landed my first Webflow job on Upwork with no real client projects. Watch this 👇🏽

Mobile view of the hair accessories & braiding website l've been working on lately. Spent a lot of time adjusting spacing, typography, responsiveness, and the layout to make sure it feels clean across devices. Still learning, but I'm happy with the progress so far. #webdesign
