@pianistsooyeon I agree with that :) Again, i definitely think Gorya is not blameless. Most of the takes i've seen agree with that, so maybe i've curated my TL well. All the caharacters are actively perpertuating whatever unhealthy dynamic they currently have which makes it more interesting

and i agree which is what makes primgorya so heartbreaking. i hope you don’t mistake me as blaming gorya in all this. as a matter of fact, i empathize for her unrequited sapphic heartbreak the most. but i think people are only using gorya’s pov while dismissing her agency altogether which i think is what makes gorya’s character so interesting to me. people want her to be a helpless victim when she is the character who consistently refuses to be the world’s joke and makes her own decision. shasha threatened her? she gained the upper hand on the date. shasha came on to her? she was the one setting the game in the end. bambi taunting her? she brought up privilege and hardwork which she took pride in. even a tough character has weaknesses and hers is that she can’t help but hope even after she agreed on prim’s terms. that brings layers to her character. the agency of letting herself fall and hurt and get disappointed and play her own game (fwb arrangement). which people seem to want to ignore for some reason

@necronugget yes thats likely what happened hence i won’t blame gorya. but you can’t dismiss gorya’s agency in all this when she agreed on prim’s terms which prim re-stated “phi nong”. and yes call her an ass for that but she did not intentionally lead her on (esp for years)

@pianistsooyeon Baipor also had the privilege of not seeing Shasha regularly. Gorya sees Prim a lot. It's understandably harder to get over smth that's clearly more than a crush at this point

@pianistsooyeon Yup i agree they prob lost touch, but they've been working tgt for abt a year & it's not surprising that those feelings resurfaced/intensified when the timing finally seemed right. I get them both, but ultimately G wouldnt have hoped if P didnt give it to her in the first place

@pianistsooyeon it's fair to assume that they lost touch, but i dont think it's fair to say that it only became a problem bc G held on to it. Sure, they were kids, but it doesn't mean their words and feelings back then don't hold weight anymore, especially when P still blames timing even now

that’s where i disagree cause kid prim and adult prim are different people you can’t say she led her on for years when they most likely grew apart after high school. it only became a problem bc gorya held on to it. prim should’ve known better when she set her boundaries as an adult, but it was a two party agreement when gorya said okay. both should’ve known better

@pianistsooyeon Ehhh i do think she led her on when they were kids AND as an adult. Intentional or not, it happened. Her inability to discern her readiness, while also giving mixed signals inadvertently kept Gorya hoping, but ofc Gorya's not blameless bc to quote baipor "she let her do that"

Explaining that i love prim's character in the way that i love to diss her like i LOVEEEE calling her an ass and saying she deserves to go to jail but i dont /hate/ her. I dont even dislike her

me @ the tl feeling like the only one enjoying girl rules exotic editing (except for the quick cuts between scenes) + all the plots + all the characters (even prim got my interest in this ep) am i just too easily content and also kinda dumb or am i just in another level of camp

The cuts do bother me a bit, but i dont really think it affects the clarity of the storyline that much? I dont really get what ppl are confused about LOL i just get whiplash from the abruptness
