ALS has affected my speech in an unusual way. My soft palate (top back of the mouth) is weak & I can’t put my lips together. Some consonants (M, B, P) are near impossible. I am limited when seated or standing but clear as day lying down. Video calls are my enemy. Problem solved.

@betsylevyp My youngest just got a letter back from him (his team) at school. They are sharing it with her on Friday. I got an email from her teacher just now saying I should probably let her know that he did get to read the letter before he died.

We have so many worn, loved books with which to pay tribute to him tonight at bedtime.
