Imagine typing out this and hitting send, whilst thinking literally anyone else other than yourself is a “villain”
Adam Perkins@AdamPerkinsPhD

@aodanhill Atlee was a villain as his 1948 British Nationality Act enabled citizens of Commonwealth nations to be recognized as British subjects/Commonwealth citizens, allowing them to enter and settle in here. That act started the catastrophe of mass 3rd world immigration into Britain.

The reason he doesn't know what to do next is because he has NO good options. He is presented with a Devil's Alternative: accept a defeat that would destroy his presidency, significantly worsen the US strategic position globally, thrust the US out of the Arabian Peninsula and destroy his presidency OR a land invasion which would be massively costly and almost certainly not bring strategic victory. What would you do?

Regular reminder that the BBC set up “BBC Verify”, a completely incompetent and essentially useless “factchecking” arm of its journalism, at exactly the same time the quality of all the rest of its journalism completely nosedived
Helena Horton@horton_official

The absolute hubris of the BBC writing a pious article about 'what Jonathan the tortoise teaches us about fake news' when it is the very outlet which published the fake news, which is not mentioned in the piece. bbc.co.uk/bitesize/artic…

The bombs are still falling. But Washington has already lost. A former US military adviser said what most analysts are thinking: Trump’s war on Iran has alienated every ally America has left. Not some. All of them. Military victories can be measured in targets destroyed. This defeat cannot. It is happening in foreign ministries, in trade corridors, in quiet conversations between leaders who no longer trust Washington to behave like a serious country. The United States turned against its allies. The tariffs came first. Then the threats against Greenland. Then the abandonment of Ukraine. Now a unilateral war that nobody signed up for, followed by demands that everyone join in anyway. When you spend years burning bridges, do not be surprised when nobody comes to your war. The military result in Iran is still uncertain. The strategic result is not. America is alone. And it got there fast. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@BrentleyGC @anwagolf The problem is, every single time there’s an incident like this there’s “context” provided; and then slow play doesn’t get fixed. We can have sympathy for the players involved but still take a firm stance on their pace of play issues…

Fans care about players not Tours. The DP World Tour needs to leverage its stars better to drive engagement and viewership.
