@h1_1nter Maybe I’m very skeptical of AI stuff it seems it is often touted as much more impressive than it really is Idk what the consequences will be if it really does get really that good It seems like it has a lot of destructive potential :’)

@needledolly Why would we want it to be? I think it's capable of something far more powerful and effective than a human brain

I think if "consciousness" can't describe the functions of an LLM then a large portion of the world probably also doesn't qualify without arguing for an irrational non-materialist view of the world. Lot of the academia my friends've shown me just try to define soul materially

@h1_1nter Still came from experience, of trial and error, each bit of overly done sheen on body was intentionally placed there was thought and vision behind it even if the result is basically the same as what a AI could do The trip from point A to point B by any human is way more complex
