The Railway Board’s recent directive (dated 02.04.2026) to include this vital section under the Visakhapatnam division of the proposed SCoR zone is a direct hit to the economic interests of South Odisha. Odisha is a powerhouse that contributes significantly to the Indian Railways' freight earnings through our coal, minerals, and industrial output. Any diversion of jurisdiction over such high-revenue sections: •⁠ ⁠Risks substantial financial loss to the state. •⁠ ⁠Weakens administrative control over our own lifelines. •⁠ ⁠Dilutes Odisha's voice in future railway planning and prioritisation. I have urged the Hon’ble Minister to immediately roll back this revision. No changes affecting the geography of Odisha’s rail network should be implemented without the due consultation and concurrence of its people and their public representatives. @RailMinIndia

Such outrageous and irresponsible insinuations made by Hon’ble BJP MP Dr @nishikant_dubey ji against Biju babu, has hurt the sentiments of many Odia people. Biju babu was a decorated freedom fighter, visionary leader and son of the soil whose contribution to the nation is beyond question. My humble request to Dr Nishikant Dubey ji, to refrain from indulging in cheap and petty politics that are completely unacceptable and condemnable.
