High fuel costs have a cascading effect on food inflation, transport fares, and household budgets. Honest and effective governance, in my view, means providing real relief through tax cuts, not optics-driven austerity. 👉 Central excise duty adds ~₹20–22 per litre. 👉 State VAT adds anywhere between ₹10–35 per litre. Together, taxes add up to ₹30–40 per litre of what we pay at the petrol pump. If our leaders truly want to support people during this uncertain time, the path is clear: ->Cut excise duty at the Centre. ->Reduce VAT at the state level. #PetrolPrice #TaxCuts #HonestGovernance #PublicRelief

How different are IIT Chennai and IIT Madras? 😳😳😳 Under Minister Saar, the education system is a mess … accountability is missing, and students are paying the price. Why is media not asking question to Mr. Shameless D Pradhan .
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Chennai | Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan says, " I asked the director of IIT Madras to look into the technical glitch. IIT Kanpur, IIT Chennai, and IIT Madras will look into the technical glitch faced by the CBSE portal. But today it is functioning smoothly. Those who applied for the revaluation will get a scanned copy. After that, further development will take place. We'll look into that issue. I've taken it seriously. The government is looking into it in detail. I am confident that with the guidance of IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, it will be resolved"

@bapisahoo So I would thank BJP for creating more issues and challenges so people are rushing to temple for solace. Is it ? 😁

@dashman207 Then give thanks to the BJP for reiterating people's faith in God through their campaigns and building Sriram Mandir in Ayodhya. Though you may not agree, But keeping aside politics people are now more Instagram centric rather than devotion when they visit temples.

Puri’s sacred Jagannath Temple is witnessing unprecedented crowds, with lakhs of devotees gathering for darshan despite long queues, traffic jams, and hours of waiting in the extreme summer heat. It is evident that the number of devotees thronging to the temple has grown manifold in recent years, reflecting the deepening of faith and devotion. Yet, the opening of all temple doors without proper crowd management has compounded congestion. Devotees pour in from multiple directions, creating bottlenecks inside and outside the sanctum. Faith is rising, and with it the responsibility to ensure darshan remains a spiritual experience, not a struggle. The @SJTA_Puri administration must be proactive in managing the flow of devotees so that Jagannath’s grace is received in peace, not chaos. #JagannathTemple #Puri #Faith #SpiritualJourney #Devotion

@dashman207 For the last 20+ years i go to Tirupati. Every year there is an improvement in the crowd management. If the darsahan is booked 3 months earlier the senior citizen can have a Darsan within 60- 90 minutes. Others can have the darshan within 180- 200 miinutes if booked 3M earlier

Nothing is impossible. The administration must show the will to fix the problem. Real, tangible efforts and innovation can restore sanctity to darshan: Regulate the door opening - not create bottleneck inside temple premise with all door opening Timed entry passes via slot. Real-time crowd updates via apps or SMS to help devotees plan visits. Separate lanes for elderly and children to reduce risk inside the sanctum. AC tunnels , First-aid stations, ambulances, and hydration points set up to assist devotees in extreme heat.

@dashman207 In the existing sinario, crowd management in Jaganath temple is not only difficult but impossible.Unless and otherwise there is slot Darsan timing (As it is there in Tirupati ) The temple admin. must visit Tirupati to have a first hand knowledge of crowd management system there.

@TikeKhenchiDia Perhaps if ministers and VVIPs were made to experience darshan alongside the crowd enduring the same queues, heat, and pressure only then would there be urgency to fix the crowd management else this issue will keep compounding .

@dashman207 Situation is really very bad & total chaos. Odias don't want to accept it but it's not giving a positive impression. Inside the temple situation is really scary & if u have a child or older parents then better not to go inside. Throughout the day situation is like this-Packed

@iamsitaram What I understand the cleanup act along Meghanada Pacheri and all that construction is great and was only one part of the Parikrama project … Current BJP govt now has option to build waiting halls as next phase of Parikrama project .

Actually I was reflecting on this line ….why more and more devotees are thronging temples now compared to a decade or two ago. Keeping the population factor aside, it feels that people are becoming more god-fearing and spiritually inclined. With too many issues and challenges in life, a simple visit to the temple …the darshan, the hardship of the journey makes people believe they have done something to seek the Lord’s attention. That belief and faith arise from within. Agreed the Mannerisms and Ways of worship may have changed, but one thing is clear: there is a definite deepening of faith in the Lord. It is about hearts seeking solace, surrender, and strength in Lord Jagannath’s gaze.

Gujarat’s paradox is striking: strong industrial growth but weak human development indicators. High rates of child malnutrition, especially in tribal districts. NFHS‑5 (2019–21) shows 39% of children under five are stunted and 18% wasted. Gujarat’s Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) continue to be poor due to poor access to emergency obstetric care. 75 per 100,000 live births (2018–20 SRS). Recurring diarrheal outbreaks and seasonal epidemics in urban slums even in Ahmedabad and Surat exposing fragile urban health systems. NFHS‑5 notes only 54% of institutional deliveries in tribal districts, compared to 90%+ in urban centers highlighting a stark rural‑urban divide. Rural and tribal areas often lack specialists and adequate facilities. With all the focus and financial influx pouring into Gujarat, we still witness people walking kilometers for water, climbing down into 45‑foot wells to survive. If this is Gujarat’s reality, one shudders to imagine the plight in places with far less spotlight.

#WATCH | Gujarat: People of Valsad face severe water shortage. They are stepping down into wells which are more than 45 feet deep with the help of ropes to get water.
