The idea that vaccines cause autism is kind of amazing, because it persists despite being based on a fraudulent study. It is completely made-up, and yet people believe they've found reasons to believe it.

@arjunkhemani I totally agree, although this goes slightly against the "find the problem you love to solve" - which of course is different for everyone.

People used to tell me there is less value in being open-minded than it seems and they were right. Prejudice, dogmatism, a sense of superiority, etc. are ultimately protecting your sanity from hundreds of incomparable worldviews in a fundamentally incomprehensible universe.
