The best thing about the Bitcoin space for me is the community. An abundant mindset attracts good people to you. In a distracted, disconnected world seek out people who lift you higher. Strong communities are invested in building brighter futures together. 🧡 @TheBitcoinBasin @Btcjourney21 @stacked_bitcoin

Alright plebs! Our next Monthly meetup at the @TheBitcoinBasin is happening in the heart of Queenstown, right by the lake. This venue is giving Bitcoin a shot for the very first time, they’ll be accepting Bitcoin as payment exclusively for our event. Now it’s up to us: Let’s show them the incentives to become a permanent Bitcoin merchant. If you’re in Queenstown (or know someone who is), spread the word, come along, and top up your Lightning wallet to spend some sats! 📍 Location: Momentos by the Lake 🕠 Time: 17:30 See you there! 🚀

Thank you @geyserfund for facilitating support from the worldwide Bitcoiner community for Bitcoin-only educational projects. We already host free Bitcoin workshops for the local community in Queenstown, NZ, and we can’t wait to do the same in every town and city we drive through. Onwards!

Another successful Bitcoin Workshop 🙌 5 people learned how this incredible technology is reshaping the way we think about money, freedom, and ownership. Once you see it, it can’t be undone. Many more free workshops to come, thanks to the invaluable support of @TheBitcoinBasin and Criterion Law Firm.

I’m so excited to be speaking at @BTCPrague this year. Prague is quickly becoming the Bitcoin capital of the world. I'll be taking the story of New Zealand’s first Bitcoin circular economy global showing what’s possible when Bitcoin is actually used, not just held. Queenstown is gaining recognition through our community, @TheBitcoinBasin, and I’m excited to share the why and the how behind it. If you’re coming, I’d love to connect ⚡ btcprague.com

“That Anja, always pinching her nose and dissolving into laughter at something no one else finds funny,” I imagine God saying, watching me from above. A private joke with the universe, perhaps. Let me tell you a story about little me, born exactly 40 years ago in a small Croatian town called Sisak. A tiny detail that somehow followed me everywhere, largely because the literal translation is… “little titty.” The cities I lived in later, especially in Serbia, were much bigger, but somehow no one had ever heard of Sisak. I changed five primary schools, and every time I had to stand up and introduce myself, it was the same ritual. Name, where I’m from… and then laughter. Not cruel, just surprised, a little too delighted, but enough to make you feel like you’d accidentally told a joke you didn’t mean to. Like you were the punchline without signing up for the role. Comedy found me early, whether I liked it or not. I started school a year ahead of schedule, mostly because I couldn’t wait to follow my big brother out into the world and, if I’m honest, to get out of the house. Even then, I had a will of iron and an independence streak that didn’t always land well at home. My mother and I… let’s just say we tested each other. We left Croatia just before the war in the early 90s, only to return because of my dad’s work, right to the border where the first line of defence was. Our childhood home was overshadowed by weapons of all kinds: hand grenades, Kalashnikovs, rocket launchers, you name it. It wasn’t even our home. It belonged to someone who had the good sense to leave the fight zone. Hyperinflation was rampant, and my parents quietly began plotting our escape from the never-ending madness. In 1997, we arrived in Australia, the promised land of peace, freedom, and stability. Life, as it turns out, has a wicked sense of humour. My teenage years were spent untangling just how abnormal my childhood had been, while feeling suspended between two cultures, belonging fully to neither. So I did what made the most sense. I leaned into humour. My brother had razor sharp wit, the kind that comes with a brilliant mind, and I played my role as the younger sister perfectly, laughing until I couldn’t breathe, getting the zoomies when things got too funny. And then he was gone. That loss reshaped everything. It’s the kind of grief that makes you nostalgic for your old problems, the ones you once thought were unbearable. A brutal reminder that life doesn’t negotiate. Oh no. Not long after, the COVID shenanigans arrived, and when the world reopened, something in me refused to go back to normal. I sold my two small apartments (which were much cheaper only 5 years ago), packed up the life I had so carefully constructed, and moved to Sydney. From safe and secure to fuck this shit, there has to be more than this. Questionable life choices, possibly. Necessary, absolutely. It would still be a few years until I discovered Bitcoin, and honestly, it made perfect sense. A child of a post-communist country, shaped by hyperinflation, constant upheaval, loss, and, ironically, authoritarian overreach (this time in Australia), and the slow realisation that climbing the corporate ladder often leads not to truth, but to politics and performance. Of course I questioned everything. Of course I became disillusioned with a world that never quite added up. So when I discovered the idea of Bitcoin, something shifted. Equal parts hope and terror. I let go of the safety nets I had clung to for so long and chose time over status, freedom over accumulation. Most people grind for decades to get there. I, in true Anja fashion, seem to have just… jumped. Sometimes I still catch myself thinking, what the hell are you doing. You had the job, the mortgage, the investment property, the checklist. And you traded it for uncertainty and significantly less income. Am I evolving, or just slightly unhinged with the risk tolerance of a caffeinated squirrel? But then I imagine going back to concrete boxes, political games, fear driven environments, people surviving instead of living, and the answer becomes clear. No thanks. Now I live simply. I earn enough. I’m surrounded by people I respect, people I can actually talk to without mentally planning my escape mid conversation. A small, grounded village kind of life. And for the first time in my entire life, I feel like I am walking a path I want, not the one sold to me as the one I should. Who knows where this path will lead. But for the first time, that uncertainty feels like freedom, not fear. Happy 40th to me. And to the truest souls who have entered my life since the 2024 halving, thank you. Because of all of you, I feel less alone. 🧡

If you can't see the patterns from the Covid play out repeating you have to be blind. Everything is playing out just as intended. Decentralised currency is more important than ever. As our freedoms are forcibly taken from us (AGAIN) we start to appreciate them a whole lot more. Stand tall, love your neighbour, stack #bitcoin . 🙏🏻
