I was telling my mom i was going to retire her back when i barely knew how i was going to cover rent for the month.
During that time i was fasting most of the day & only eating pasta because it was the cheapest food i could find to put it all back into the business.
Everyone called me delusional, including my dad - i just knew it was a part of my hero story.
I used to listen to Tony Robbins all the time and he would constantly repeat "Nothing in life has any meaning outside of the meaning you choose to give it"
I decided to look at the hardest part of my life as the "part of my hero arc".
In movies, the hero is only ever as strong as the struggles he had to overcome.
There is no hero without the struggle that forces him to become one.
That small change of perspective changed everything for me.
That "struggle" changed from a bad thing to a good thing in my mind - it became like my training camp for what was to come.
4 years later i hit the "liquid cash millionaire" mark and became semi-retired purely off of crypto.
If i had listened to everyone calling me delusional i would still just be working a software dev job to this day.
