@Vitus_osst Why would he fear the Trump admin unless he has a phobia of silly political rhetoric?

Pope Leo XIV, speaking on Monday at the beginning of his trip to Africa, expressed that he has "no fear of the Trump administration." He emphasized his commitment to continue speaking out "loudly against war."

You can't be a Catholic and stand against the Pope.

@CAAPcorp @breeadail @Pontifex So in 2000 years you found some minor prelate sucking up to the Pope, a badly written single copy of canon law (never repeated) from the 1500’s (Under current Canon Law, the Pope is a servant of the Church), and a couple of references about the Pope as steward of the Church.

@CAAPcorp @breeadail @Pontifex Thr Pope is a steward of the Church tasked with protecting the deposit of the faith; Catholics ( not being clueless as the meaning of such) would consider him a representative/deputy/agent of the absolute head of the Church, Jesus Christ. That is is what Vicar means.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah). In memory of 6,000,000 who were murdered solely because they were Jewish. Never Again.

@60Minutes If I had to pick the three most corrupt/heterodox bishops in the Catholic Church, Cupich, McElroy and Tobin would be at the top of the list.

@60Minutes Midwit radical left Cardinal Robert McElroy followed that up by calling the Iranian regime ‘abominable’ & saying ‘they need to be removed.’ Clearly dumb & contradictory statements, & he knows it. His real purpose on 60 Minutes was slamming the Trump admin ahead of the midterms.

@stevecook171 @FeserEdward Catholics read the Bible. Priests, in particular, read most of the Bible once a year (all of the NT and most of the OT) due to the daily offices & (on top of that) engage in personal study. I don’t agree w/ the Pope’s approach, but this particular objection is sil…inaccurate

@FeserEdward Well, you have convinced us that it is Catholic tradition to NOT read the Bible.

Yet another reminder for those falsely accusing Pope Leo of departing from traditional teaching. Here is Pope Nicholas I in the 9th century characterizing war in terms even harsher than Leo’s, while acknowledging (as Leo has) that defense against aggressors is legitimate. (Quoted in John Eppstein, The Catholic Tradition of the Law of Nations, p. 196)

Paige Rogers is a sophomore at a Christian college in Kentucky who was fired from her job at a local coffee shop because she answered questions from two coworkers about her beliefs. They asked Paige about her beliefs on marriage, sexuality, and other topics. She answered honestly and respectfully, and a week later received a text saying that her employment was being terminated immediately because she had violated policies about workplace conduct. Ridiculous. Paige is right—no one should be fired for respectfully sharing their religious viewpoints—especially when asked. Would you pray for Paige and share an encouraging word in the comments below? foxnews.com/opinion/cowork…

@shorepatrol @ericmetaxas @KelemenCari Yes. The walls are straight. Not angled. For heavens sake, get a life. It’s a building. The side walls are straight on both the inside and outside. It’s not some kind of massive conspiracy.

@nelmjn @ericmetaxas @KelemenCari No they aren't. They are angled toward the audience, not the stage. Why is there no shot from the same angle as the other photo? Have you taken a look at the exterior?

I wasn't aware that any thinking person took "60 Minutes" seriously. It's 20 years past its expiration date. Fittingly, so is the influence of these three Churchmen.

For the first time, three of America's most influential cardinals and archbishops agreed to a joint interview, sharing their candid take on war in Iran, immigration, and the future of the Catholic Church. Sunday on 60 Minutes. 60Minutes.com
