@JessicaNonGrata They've become so convinced of their own "goodness" that they become untethered from any objective basis of morality. "Good people" stop being whoever it is that does good things. Instead, "good things" start being whatever is done by "good people" (like themselves).

@SSJBens The San Francisco to New York's LA (Boston) is in a neighboring state. As is its San Diego (Philadelphia). Even its Anaheim (Newark) is outside New York.

@SSJBens Also, I don't think New York belongs on this list. If everything that 90% of people know about your state is in 1 city- you're a state with an iconic city, not an iconic state. People don't care about Rochester or Utica or Buffalo.

@ninaturner @AnnaHorford If we have an extra day off, it shouldn't be Friday or Monday- it should be Wednesday. Instead of 1 extra Saturday, you get an extra Friday AND an extra Sunday. And every work day is no more than 2 days away from a day off. Your Monday now feels like a Thursday.

Every week should be a four day workweek. Every weekend should be a three day weekend.

@TheWapplehouse The simplifying of complex issues is what really sets me off. Like, how can RWers listen to their politicians use terms like "the bad guys" (their Harvard-educated VP candidate just did this in the debate) and not get pissed off that they're being talked to like they're 5?

To add to this: I work with a lot of Right wingers. People whose weddings I’ve done. Folks I’ve worked with for 15 years. They know my politics and they’d give me the shirt off their backs if I needed it. Some of em can’t stand the guy, some of em are full blown dick suckers. It’s weird but most of their brain rot comes not from Trump directly but from the simplicity in which media attempts to boil down complex issues. And the capitalist lines most major media outlets take at face value from lobbying groups or law enforcement agencies without any criticism or critical thought. Trump just says the most basic, populist lines that almost anyone of any socioeconomic background can get behind in theory in some way, but the solutions and the cause are radically different. And their brains have been primed their entire lives for it because these systems and causes and effects are so fucking big and out of our control. And of course some of em just have good ol’ racism passed down to them which overrides everything.
