Annoyingly, it improved pretty much every aspect of my life.

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼♀️

Look, pro-homeschooling people are piling on this guy but he's not wrong at all.
I know of families who are straight-up failing to teach their children beyond a 2nd-grade education. Like 16-year-old kids who don't know what the Capital of the US is, have never heard of Toronto, and could not perform a basic algebra problem.
While it's true that there are many excellent homeschooling families whose instruction far exceeds that of any public school, the fact is that the American system of "school your kids however you want" does also yield a lot of severely stunted kids who get stuck playing "catch-up" for the rest of their lives.
My wife was homeschooled, we might homeschool, I'm not averse to the practice per se, but it's a fact that there's a whole world of multi-generational homeschoolers who are not and will not rise above a 2nd or 3rd grade education level by their own volition.
Should the state intervene in these cases? I dunno, the answer to the question is not as "easy" as many make it out to be. The idea of barely getting through 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' at the age of 16 should be appalling, and it IS happening in some American homeschooler families.

Jill is 100% correct. we should absolutely evaluate, test and check-on home-school kids. if they are not performing at least as well as the worst kid in a public school then they should face the same consequences as a public school with similar performance.
so, to take an example, 23 schools in Baltimore have zero children scoring proficient in math. Because of that, those schools have faced the consequence of getting extra funding.
thus, if a homeschooler is found to have performance that bad or worse, they should also be given extra funding, I guess.

My husband games. It’s his main hobby. I fully support him. Although I’m not very good, I game with him sometimes.
Right now he’s trying to get gladiator something or other on WoW (I am still learning here) and it’s the final day so I let that man game and made him a steak for dinner. And guess what, he supports MY hobbies unconditionally as well.
It’s okay to support your spouses hobbies, even if they aren’t YOUR hobbies.

What weight should semiconductors have in your portfolio? S&P 500 roughly 16% today Nasdaq100 roughly 30% today Vanguard Growth roughly 22% today Many investors are grappling with this question as semis continue their historic run. For me personally, I would be uncomfortable with anything above 50% and right now feel best at around 40% to manage the risk and reward. What are you comfortable with?
