@Adellama_ @corsaren where is the yearn post so I can find oomfs to flirt with..

Whenever one of my yearnposts blow up I find the sociology of the commenters quite fascinating. So far there seem to be 6-7 archetypes:
1. Supportive normies who find it all cute and say nice things
2. Playfully envious single folk who provide lighthearted banter (e.g., “lobster too buttery”)
3. Legitimately angry incels who are…uhhhhh…not okay lemme tell ya
4. Bitter redpill, sigma male types who think being happy and dorky with your SO is GAY and CRINGE
5. Blackpillers indulging in their barely disguised fetish that my gf is cheating on me with a black guy named Tyrone (for it is always Tyrone, somehow)
6. Several people who are unaware as to how social media algos work, who comment or RT asking why this random post is on their feed
But by far, the most interesting archetype of all imo:
7. Posters who are so lonely, so miserable, so chronically deprived of love that they literally do not believe that such vignettes are commonplace, and so insist it never happened.

New AI paper from us this week. When my student first showed me his initial findings, I really didn’t know what to make of them. I felt that this was an interesting but curious loophole phenomenon that would shortly be closed. I was very wrong.
