@flurryfrenzy oh my fucking god i'm so tired of lefties basing their anti-AI art arguments on quality. a decade from now it'll be so good it'll glorp the thoughts inside your brain onto the screen exactly, that isn't the fucking point, the argument against AI in art has to be philosophical.

I do think artists are fucked for the next couple years but hopefully genAI being increasingly commonplace has the countereffect of making people think about the effort & human-made art a relative commercial luxury so real great artists can charge more for their labour.

Paying an animator would not be cheaper in the future, AI input costs decreases + quality increases. Interested re your point on capitalism, i am a lefty.

@neomisanth @flurryfrenzy If you had a product worth advertising with Pixar-esque 3D animation (you don’t), paying an animator would be cheaper and more consistent and more beneficial to the capitalist system you love so much than locking yourself into a subscription you’ll use once and then never again.
