Losing @Starcadian is a huge blow to the Synthwave scene, and we're deeply saddened to hear of his passing. An amazing performer as well as an unstoppable force in the scene, our deepest condolences go out to all of his family and friends. 💜

Other creatives, artists, musicians, designers, curators, historians, writers, and more were already tuning into this aesthetic. We noticed this, and while we were planning for the first NEON in 2018, our goal was to try to convene as many people who vibed with this wavelength.

The next thing people usually say is, "No other event feels this way." There is a reason for that, but it might not be what you think.... NEON represents a frequency, and it existed long before we started working on a music and retro culture festival.

A few days don't pass without someone asking us, "When is NEON coming back?" We wish we had a definitive answer to that question; NEON has always been a passion project we've funded out of pocket, knowing full well that every dime put into it might not be returned.
