NMA has successfully recovered and repatriated a human body discovered in the Khumbu Icefall, a key route to Mount Everest. Acting upon the request of the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Tourism, the NMA carried out the operation in close coordination with the NTB. #NMA

The fieldwork was carried out in last November by a team led by Mr. Bodh Raj Bhandari, Convenor of the Manang Mountaineering School. Based on the report, the NMA will formulate plans for the school’s further development and infrastructure enhancement.

The survey was conducted by Chief Surveyor Mr. Khimlal Devkota and Engineer Mr. Ganesh Prasad Sigdel as part of the Association’s initiative to support the institution’s long-term planning and development.
