What's with all this shoes bullshit? We sit on the floor & sometimes lay down on the carpet, that gets vacuumed/cleaned at least twice a week. It is my house. If you can't take shoes off, I will 100% ask you to leave. If that is going to be the end of our relationship, fuck it.

Thank you @docranjana once again. Other things to consider inc asymmetric timeframes - regulatory bodies take months / years but we get just days to respond + language used - I’ve had emotion / judgement from regulators where we must be dispassionate

@neph_ning There are huge skylights in the surgical recovery area and I thought- gosh, how much more human would you feel seeing the sky, clouds, birds, (planes from airport! 🤣) while you're coming around, rather than the usual windowless box.

Righto, a selection of my highlights from the newest hospital of @NNSWLHD. Obviously a hybrid theatre just sitting waiting for a vascular team, *and* a neurointerventional suite *and* a cardiac cath lab *and* 12 other theatres... I predict many happy surgeons 🥰🥰🥰

If @iGas2 offers a guided tour of the brand new Tweed Valley Hospital, make sure you allow plenty of time because (a) it's a very impressive hospital (b) Ian was the prime instigator 15 years ago and the stories are 🤯🤯🤯 (c) he's so beloved, you end up stopping for chats+++!

@mstotty88 Agree. I’m a cons neph and our unit *expects* to be called about sickies overnight. I make it very clear to regs I’ve got my phone, they pay me for this, please call. Although I’m rarely in onsite, I’m supporting and instructing and looking through notes.

Why is med reg seen as this awful passage of right but then it’s all fine once you are a consultant?
The sickest surgical pts at 2am are managed by the consultant surgeon, anaesthetist and intensivist.
