can anyone explain the term "unloading" to me in the context of, say baroreflex unloading. I have never had so much trouble finding a definition before. It's used a lot, but never defined?! T_T

@awakenedbarbie @CNN Trans kids can take hormonal blockers, like kids with other health conditions do to stave off puberty, but you have to be over 18 for hormone replacement therapy as a general rule. Any outlets making you think trans kids take HRT are lying to rile you up.

I really don't know anything about ferritin, i need to change that. It does seem that only having three (3) ferritins is not great, tho 😅

How can there only be one hit for "Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome" + anemia in google scholar. My mind is absolutely boggled. anemia is so common *and* so many symptoms overlap. How is this possible?!

..it then goes on to share a table from a different paper with possible pharmeseutical treatments for POTS, and it includes stimulants on it. Lol. *pulls out all my hair* I get that writing a paper in a group will lead to contradictions but like, did no one check for them!?

(This isn't to say that certain meds wont make our POTS worse, and for some ppl that might be stimulants, or certain brands. For me, two forms of H2 blockers make my POTS super worse. But that doesn't mean h2 blockers are bad for POTSies in general.)

Every paper i read on POTS mentions how the diagnostic criteria is a raise of HR *WITHOUT* a change in BP. Yet I feel like the majority of of POTSies I know also have BP changes. But the literature *never* mentions this, even when discussing misdiagnosis & Drs cluelessness.

@ZoeRoseBryant Some of us were counting bread slices and looking for change under the couch. We didn’t have such mass productions of cheap fast fashion/toys. Even still, there are families without homes, are you that detached from the horrifying state many people are in?

High levels of Homocysteine might be involved in the pathogenesis of POTS. Has anyone with #POTS/#hypermobility checked their levels of Homocysteine? This could be linked to the methylfolate deficiency theory and mutations of the MTHFR gene ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…

Does any #EdSer have Keratoglobus but NOT kyphoscoliotic type? Found out i have keratoglobus today, but lord knows I haven't been able to get an actual #EDS panel done (tho my @AllofUsResearch results showed i don't have Marfan's or vEDS, (which I didn't suspect anyway.)
