The majority of college programs are prioritizing velocity and size when recruiting pitchers. They should be prioritizing command, competitiveness and deliveries. Upper 8's with command, competitiveness and fundamental delivery is a lot better than mid 9's all over the place, with the inability to compete.

The freshmen that are getting on the field at the D-1 level are. Physical (strong) Polished (have played a lot of baseball and been well coached) Mature (don't need reminders and hand holding) Tireless Workers (while others are partying, they're working) Confident (they know they belong) Unselfish (they understand how to play winning baseball) Etiquette (they know how to carry them self). Energy (they lock in and compete every day).

This video is from last week in Florida… not sure why I took the mic and felt the urge to sing a Toby song but I know now. I am so heartbroken with the loss of my good friend Big Dog Daddy. A TRUE friend. When you first met Toby he made you feel like he’s known you for years. There’s no one on this earth that loved his country more. (NO ONE!) A great talent, and gentle giant that took no shit from anybody. He always picked one side of the fence! He loved sports, just about as much as he loved music. I will miss talking late night baseball with my dude. Rest assured Big Dog I will be singing your songs any chance I get! 💔🎸
