Oli Marmol’s decision to keep JoJo Romero in the 8th, even with a slew of right-handed hitters due up for Houston, came down to experience. Fernandez was down and Helsley’s your guy for the ninth. Left Kyle Leahy (15 ML innings) and Ryan Loutos (1 ML inning) as the options.

For the first time this year, that's a Cardinals sweep. Lars Nootbaar made a 5-star catch, resulting in one of the most clutch double plays of the season, Ryan Fernandez notches his first-career save, & the St. Louis Cardinals are playing their best ball yet Final: STL 5, BAL 4

Naw, the Cardinals don’t need a fifth starter. Everything is fine. Be patient. They’re the Cardinals. Smartest organization in sports. And they know more than we do. They’re absolutely determined to do whatever it takes to win. #Sarcasm

Oli Marmol on Miles Mikolas in today's #STLCards loss: "Overall, he did a nice job — he really did. Just not enough offense. Had our shots, just didn't cash in. We've got to figure out a way to score some runs."

@ness_44 I don’t see any quick fixes either. I thought starting pitching would be a bigger problem than offense but starting pitching has been pretty good.

Final Score: Brewers 2, Cardinals 0

Understandably, there is a lot of angst today over the #STLCards thinned bullpen and starters not going deeper yet. But this is where the concern should be after four games: The top of the order (Donovan, Goldschmidt, Gorman, Arenado & Contreras) are 12 of 73 (.164) with 26 Ks.

God got a plan, so just stick to the script 📝 #11
