Everyone is imperfect and everyone forms attachments to that which is imperfect, so the most healthy outlook more often than not is to not throw out as much imperfection as possible, but to just stop wearing it on your sleeve.

There is a valuable conversation to be had about mindful consumption that doesn't support terrible people and giving cultural space to works that lose the privilege of recognition, but the internet makes it easy to forget that no one forces you to broadcast everything you absorb.

Forgive me if this comes off as insensitive, but whenever we run into the conversation of "How should I engage with someone's work after finding out they're terrible?" the two solutions more often than not are either "You don't ez" or "You can, you just don't have to tell anyone"
