I saw it and I’ve not disputed it. But mind you a lot of doctors here and outside have diagnosed patients telling them they have Ulcer without endoscopy. Why do you think a lot of people now say they have ulcer, do you think it materialised out of thin air? No. I’ve been told so.

Hope you saw the statement from this document you posted that said "those who do not respond to this treatment should have an endoscopy" The whole issue started when someone posted "about the cost of Gaviscon for those who are *repeatedly* on it" In case you don't know some person has been on Antacids and Omeprazole for years without ever doing an endoscopy. What doctors are saying here is, you can't stick out your neck and say this patient has ulcer, a positive h pylori test might increase your suspicion, but to come out and say this patient has ulcer isn't possible, it must be visualized via endoscopy. To be on the safe side you can group everything as dyspeptic symptoms and manage empirically but don't tell the patient they have ulcers because a lot of things can present as ulcers.

We were chatting with our lecturer, and she was talking about how a Dr from abroad was one of the keynote speakers at the last PSN conference. She said he spoke about the value of pharmacists, and that he doesn’t go on ward rounds without his pharmacist because it’s really a team effort. She also talked about how hospital practice is here, and how it feels more like war. I told her about Med X, and she was surprised that even the younger ones are following that path too.
Then I came this evening and saw Med X on fire 😂.
