Weekly Development Report as of April 26 #multiversxtech 👇🛠️

Is @MistralAI CEO Arthur Mensch becoming the champion of EU tech sovereignty? Mistral published 22 proposals to boost EU tech independence vs 🇺🇸&🇨🇳 In them Mensch pushes to develop European AI to ensure our armies can’t be turned off by foreign adversaries. The proposals are, mainly: 🇪🇺“European preference” clause: public bodies must prioritize European cloud and AI providers when purchasing. 💶 Tax advantage for companies using European AI infrastructure. 🏢 Government procurement as a lever to keep critical workloads on European-controlled infrastructure. 👨💻“AI Blue Card”: a fast-track European visa for AI researchers and engineers, delivered in 15 days maximum, valid 4 years. 📊 A centralized European database of public domain works to train AI models with better access.

Supernova, toward agentic coordination, accountability, settlement and global agentic commerce The last few weeks have been abuzz, with the agentic space exploding, quite literally, in terms of adoption. Feeling alive, piercing through the noise, and becoming a real, important and pressing conversation for the global business sector, for the first time. Now, MultiversX, and Supernova especially, have been built to solve the substantial needs for speed and performance that agentic systems require, which far outstrip current blockchain performance benchmarks. Building toward addressing this significant and pressing need, we have shipped the Universal Agentic Commerce Stack, delivering native protocol integrations with payment and instrumentation protocols from Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Coinbase. With these, agents can now tap a new activation and payment highway via MultiversX. The good part is all this is live today! But it's only the first very vital step. Now, I just finished a brief conversation with the team. After triaging and fixing 100+ issues and optimizations discovered across the new version of core protocol, the current state of Supernova is, at last, ready for a wider community battle and stress test, in preparation for the grand release. As anticipation intensifies across the board, the next 2-3 days will see players from around the ecosystem join the ranks of those about to provide a final stress testing round and stamp of validation for Supernova readiness, as part of the Battle of Nodes competition. Supernova is the next evolutionary step in blockchain performance and UX/AX. A foundational coordination, accountability, settlement, and global commerce layer - for agents, all around the world. And now, it is ready for a final round of battle testing. ------------------------ Overall progress update: █████████░ 99% ------------------------

7/ [framework & smart contracts] - Extensive blackbox SC testing (payments focus) - Improved syntax for const hex addresses - JSON → blackbox test conversion tool - ABI moved to separate crate - Started version-agnostic proxies & types - WIP: AI-assisted blackbox test generation

Could Elon Musk ever use $Egld on X? He has shown no direct involvement, partnership, or public endorsement of MultiversX/EGLD as of February 2026 However, there are speculative parallels and potential synergies, especially given Musk's vision for X as an "everything app" (payments, social, AI, video, etc.) and his businesses' focus on scalability, AI agents, real-world utility, and future payments (e.g., Tesla/SpaceX accepting crypto or enabling microtransactions) Here are realistic, hypothetical ways Musk could leverage MultiversX/EGLD, based on the chain's strengths and Musk's priorities: -As a backend for X's payment system or "X Money" MultiversX's xPortal super app already positions itself as a rival "everything app" with built-in payments, DeFi, NFTs, social features, and low-cost/fast transactions. X could integrate EGLD (or bridge to it) for ultra-cheap global micropayments, tipping creators, or in-app commerce — especially since MultiversX recently integrated with Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), OpenAI/Stripe's Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), and supports AI agent-driven transactions without users needing to hold native tokens for gas This aligns perfectly with Musk's push for seamless, instant payments on X. -For AI agent commerce and autonomous transactions MultiversX has become a leader in agentic commerce (2026 integrations with Google UCP, OpenAI/Stripe ACP, and standards like MX-8004 for agent identities/trust/reputation). -Musk's heavy focus on Grok/xAI and autonomous AI (e.g., agents handling tasks/payments) could use MultiversX as a fast, low-cost on-chain settlement layer for AI-driven purchases, subscriptions, or data marketplaces — far more efficient than slower chains for high-volume agent activity. -High-volume applications in Tesla, SpaceX, or Starlink Tesla could explore EGLD for micro-payments (e.g., charging station fees, in-car purchases, or energy trading in a future grid). SpaceX/Starlink might use it for satellite data micropayments or global remittances in underserved areas, leveraging the chain's scalability and low latency. -MultiversX's enterprise tools (xFabric for custom chains) allow building sovereign, tailored blockchains — ideal for proprietary high-throughput needs without Ethereum's congestion/gas costs. -Metaverse or immersive experiences MultiversX's xWorlds (metaverse engine) and focus on scalable virtual worlds could complement Musk's interest in virtual/social experiences on X or future Neuralink/Tesla integrations. High TPS/low fees make it suitable for massive concurrent users in gaming, events, or virtual economies. -As an alternative "digital gold" or treasury asset (speculative) Though EGLD shifted toward utility-focused tokenomics (recent proposals removed hard supply cap for tail inflation to fund growth), its original "eGold" branding and store-of-value narrative could appeal if Musk seeks diversified crypto holdings beyond Bitcoin/Dogecoin. In summary, MultiversX stands out technically for exactly the kind of real-time, high-scale, low-friction infrastructure Musk often praises (fast, cheap, green, AI-ready). While no evidence suggests current plans, adopting or integrating it could accelerate X's evolution into a true super app and support cross-business payment/AI use cases. Any move would likely start small (e.g., pilot tipping on X) before scaling — and would generate massive attention for EGLD if Musk tweets about it.This remains purely hypothetical; Musk's crypto choices have historically favored Dogecoin and Bitcoin.
