I think it was becasue the market was bad, lack of liquidity. "New" doesn't mean it will drop necessarily.
New items could go up if market is good, and -20%~25% in a week isn't normal at all.

It’s no secret, but man, the state of the Pokémon market is really, really sad at the moment.
Bots and scalpers taking all the product, and the product that does exist at LCS’s are being sold for 3x MSRP.
I’ve honestly accepted buying a little over MSRP at this point even though it sucks, but at some point, enough is enough
Really unfortunate time in the hobby for actual fans that are in it for the love of the game
