A Reddit user found out that Motorola phones have started hijacking the Amazon app to insert affiliate codes - on a phone that cost $1,900 - talk about greed..

@financedystop This is fake because a company that is so miserable has no money for a conference room or even paying an email service. Let alone an HR department.

@StuartShrugged @AllanRicharz They are fine for password resets and other occasional actions. Not as main authentication method unless it's a service people rarely log in. Users have no choice if the website forces them to use that.

What's with websites automatically emailing a sign-in code and not giving an option to enter your password? Who asked for that?

@StuartShrugged @AllanRicharz The magic link is a hardcoded password in plain text that can be read by logs, email clients, OS where its running, other apps, etc. Your password is a secret only you know, the magic link is not. For a brief time you are exposed. You also rely on the provider to invalidate it.

@LibertarianZA @AllanRicharz It's worse than that. Many spam filters have greylisting and those sites never retry a second attempt. The user then never gets the code. By the time they do, it expired. Using email as real time authentication is not a great idea, email was designed to be resilient, not fast.

@AllanRicharz The best part is when there is a 30 second count down to enter the code but their email consistently takes 45 seconds to hit your inbox.

Abolishing private property in 2 easy steps Step 1 - Rent control: Rent is lower than costs and taxes so you can't do maintenance. Step 2 - Seizure: You don't have the money to do maintenance and the state uses it as an excuse to take your property.

@netz0com @Juve38Wa98021 @visegrad24 Classic whataboutism. When you lose the argument about healthcare numbers, you just shift the goalposts to the entire economy. Yes, Germany has major structural issues, but losing thousands of frontline doctors makes everything significantly worse, not better. Goodbye :) Lg!

🇸🇾🇩🇪 Syria has rejected Germany’s plan to return over 700,000 Syrian refugees to their home country. "We categorically reject any attempts at forced deportation,” said Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani. He added that Syrians in Germany are a “strategic resource” rather than a burden.

@SamuelPing1605 @Juve38Wa98021 @visegrad24 I said real things. You are making them up. The Syrian doctors are very low-key roles. Nothing critical. And you somehow want to claim the entire health system is going to collapse if you remove 8,000 doctors from 500,000. Just ridiculous unless you are very bad at math.

@SamuelPing1605 @Juve38Wa98021 @visegrad24 That is what worries you? Entire pensions plans are collapsing in Germany. The government is running out of new people to tax in 10 years, debt is exploding. Things are going to get really bad real quickly and your concern is 8,000 doctors when the entire country is sinking.

@netz0com @Juve38Wa98021 @visegrad24 Ever heard of a bottleneck? Those 8,000 are carrying rural hospitals and understaffed clinics, not chilling in big city private practices. If a bridge loses 2% of its structural pillars, it still collapses. But please, keep pretending that logistics is just a simple percentage:)

@netz0com @Juve38Wa98021 @visegrad24 Sure, and we also had fewer 80-year-olds needing care. The issue isn't 2011, it's 2026. Losing 8,000 doctors right now would cripple the system, whether you like it or not. Lg!

This is rich. At trial you were asked about "Safety cards" (or system cards) Savitt asked you about them. You said you wasn't sure what a "safety card" is. These are standard industry documents that AI labs (including xAI for Grok releases) publish with major models, detailing capabilities, risks, benchmarks, and safety testing/mitigations.

Polygamy is illegal in the UK. But if you’ve married 4 wives overseas and moved here, you could claim up to £78,000 in benefits. Paid for by British taxpayers. That is absurd. Conservatives will end this.

@theerearadmiral @FowlesMurphy @visegrad24 Which is precisely why German laws should be for Germans first, not the entire rest of the world. You can absolutely single out a group of people. The German government does it all the time. Like when they tax people based on their income.
