WTF @Adobe? You are jacking up my monthly subscription, AGAIN, and saying it’s because now I have access to a bunch of AI tools I do not want? Time to learn DaVinci, Affinity, and Toolbag. I am so sick of this.

People had been using this as a shortcut to a waterfall for years, then someone actually buys the property and suddenly he’s the bad guy for putting up a gate. It’s private land. Just because something was “always open” doesn’t mean it belongs to everyone. Now they’re showing up pissed, flipping him off on camera like he owes them access. Here’s a compilation of all the people mad about it

@Lee_Vertisce @ClownWorld So hotels, casinos, and all other places that are open to the public 24/7 are public property? 🤪 That is not how it works.

@ClownWorld He actually is the bad guy. If people have been using it and it's documented as such, then it's a public right of way and he doesn't have the right to block it off even if he owns the property.

@Cerealbox0 @Cezar_H_Linux The distros you mentioned will become niche if they implement features that drive most of their users to alternatives. That is the beauty about competition and when users have choices ✈️

@Cezar_H_Linux This is of course the strength of Linux - anyone is free to do whatever they want with it. But I am also saddened that most of these distros are relatively niche. I want to see Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, and OpenSUSE on that list. There's not enough coordinated pushback.

Here we see two high profile Open Source people (Red Hat & GNOME) discussing the problem with what they call “MAGA/Linux”. Discussions like this have been increasing among Open Source organizations and projects lately. They are very upset that “MAGA/Linux” is “gaining traction”. What, exactly, is “MAGA/Linux”? The definition seems vague, but you’ll see words like “XLibre”, “Lunduke”, & “OpenMandriva” regularly associated.

@LundukeJournal Don't take uneducated kids comments seriously. Libertarians exists since Silicon Valley created the first chips and computers. Privacy advocates that don't want a government internet exists since the dawn of the internet. Those kids created nothing. They just want chaos.

@octumX @learning_yohei English is called ENGLISH for a reason, not American. America were colonised by the English/Europeans and England was populated when America was full of red Indians. The current Americans are virtually all descended from Europeans. Learn British English

@Daniel_Rubino They don't. They only require an account if you want to use one of their cloud services. Windows 11 literally tells you there is a problem with your system settings if you logged out from the account. Every single day.

Internal push to end Windows 11’s Microsoft Account rule I get why people are fed up with the Microsoft account requirement during Windows 11 setup. Plenty of folks just want to use their PC without jumping through hoops, and the frustration is real. Yes, Apple and Google do the same thing, but that does not magically make it feel better for Windows users who never asked for this shift. At the end of the day, it is on Microsoft to show why having an MSA actually benefits people. If the company wants this to be the default path, it has to prove the value, not assume it. (1/2)

@TrumpGirlLove Don't worry, lefties are specialists at finding blame at everything except themselves. They will blame the sun, the neighbor, the millionaire, the capitalist, the empire, Star Wars, rain, a mouse on the streets... They lie themselves so much they lost touch with reality.

@adamndsmith DNS blocks like Pihole and similar don't work for YouTube anymore for a long time. YouTube embeds ads on your TV directly on their domain. You can't skip those ads either.

You can download a browser that will block every ad on YouTube (and everywhere else) for free. You can spend £20 on a little device that blocks every ad on your entire wi-fi network, on every laptop, tablet, and phone connected to it. You do not have to put up with ads if you don’t want to.
Dexerto@Dexerto

Linus Tech Tips has called out YouTube for adding 30-second unskippable ads to its TV app "When will it be enough? Are we just going to go all the way back to cable TV with three-minute ad breaks? Can we not?"

@edandersen What leadership? Windows was abandoned. Now they realized they might actually start to lose corporate/governments users if they move away from Windows, which means next are all those cloud services that bring the real bucks. They used Windows as a gateway selling tool only.
