Chelsea fans forget easily. They forget Maresca lost 3-0 to Brighton and also lost 3-0 to Chelsea U21 in a close door friendly. You also forget he won just 2 matches in 11 matches before he was sacked. Again, Rosenior is inexperience and amateur and shouldn't be a Chelsea manager doesn't mean Maresca deserve to be Chelsea manager as well. Rosenior is Tactically better but inexperience. Maresca is a better and bigger manager than Rosenior

Liam Rosenior is out of his depth.
But one thing that is true is he said he wanted to have a pre-season with the Chelsea players to get them fit.

The way Maresca managed our players, the team, he knew the deficiencies in this squad and did his best to hide them whilst pushing the strength of the squad as much as possible but he was flamed for it. Had mistakes but never ever would he allow PSG to do this to us. Never. He knew how to set us up for big games. He's the only reason we won PSG im the CWC final

This happens because players are encouraged to take risks with the passes and movements. We used to say that Maresca was slow and passive. This is why. To avoid unnecessary turnover in midfield and get caught. Our poor counter-press was the main problem with this. If you look at the running stats or distance covered in the Premier League, we are usually below top 10. The intensity of our game is very inconsistent and it's down to the type of players we have. Maresca was actually very economical about how he set us to play. But he was criticised heavily for it.
