In short, Malaysia is back to square one.

Unbelievable, Malaysia conceded all 3 goals so far from a header. To concede 3 goals from losing aerial duels is embarrassing.

At long last, Malaysia eliminated from Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers following AFC decision to disqualify the result against Nepal and Vietnam. Malaysia will still have to play meaningless final game against Vietnam on 31 March. The next Asian Cup will be in 2031 and Malaysia will have a chance to qualify again unless AFC decide to ban Malaysia from competing in that edition.

They were very lucky to receive such backing and massive support from JDT regardless of what they did this whole time. If this is happening while they playing with other team, they probably would have been abandoned and they will be gone by now.

They should not be allowed to represent any team in Malaysia anymore. They should be banned for life from Malaysian football. A lifetime ban like match-fixing players in 1990s.

Para 1: Not a single CAS case can be compared to how bad FAM allowed 7 foreign players to represent Malaysia with false documents and acted like nothing wrong despite overwhelming evidence. Para 2: FAM took weeks and months to admit their wrongdoing. Investigation goes nowhere so far and authorities have yet to reveal the perpetrator. Para 3: If they were not involved at all, why they were here in the first place? They are the reason why this is happening. Their documents prove to be false after obtaining Malaysian citizenship which is a crime, an offence that should be punished with stripped of their citizenship.

CAS decision on the appeal of FAM and 7 players Findings -Falsifying eligibility documents -12-month ban was a reasonable -Players complicit in fraud Decisions -7 players ban for 12 months, will serve until 26 Jan 2026 (Ban considered serve since Sept 2025) -7 players ban from official matches only -7 players allow to train with clubs during the ban -CHF 350,000 fine on FAM This will allow AFC to make decision on the eligibility of Malaysia for Asian Cup 2027 qualifier. AFC expected to overturn two official matches, Malaysia 2-0 win against Nepal and 4-0 win against Vietnam. Hector Hevel played against Nepal while all 7 players present against Vietnam. Malaysia scheduled to face Vietnam for the final match of Group F in the third qualifying round on 31 March 2026.

Kim Pan-gon returned to Malaysia as a head coach of Selangor, about a year and a half since his abrupt and controversial departure from Malaysia national team back in July 2024. He is the fourth head coach of Selangor in the space of two years, after Tan Cheng Hoe, Nidzam Jamil and Katsuhito Kinoshi. He will join a team with familiar faces: Faisal Halim, Nooa Laine, Harith Haiqal and Quentin Cheng who have played under him in the national team. This season, Selangor suffered 4 defeats and conceded 14 goals in the league, more than any top 4 side, semifinalist in FA Cup, 0 win in ACL2 and only one win in ASEAN Club Championship. Pan-gon’s mission is to awaken the sleeping Red Giants and bring them back to the glory.

It took FAM about 89 days or almost 3 months to formally lodged a police report, since FIFA sanctioned them and 7 players for falsification and forgery of documents relating to the players' eligibility. During that time, FAM consistently denying the wrongdoings, blaming the administrative errors and making an appeal to FIFA that was ultimately unsuccessful. Then, they decided to wait for independent investigation committee report which obviously recommended them to lodge a police report. Before that happened, FIFA overturned Malaysia winning results of 3 friendly matches while we wait for AFC pending CAS review. Today, after 89 days, they decided to lodge a police report at Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters, only about 6km from Wisma FAM, arriving with shiny black (expensive) car and proudly showing the yellow FAM logo. Unbelievable.

FIFA Disciplinary Committee handed 3-0 defeats to Malaysia in 3 international friendlies for fielding ineligible players and fined for CHF10k (RM51k). The decisions made by FIFA since the friendlies were played during the international match window. Malaysia 1-1 Cape Verde Ineligible: Hector Hevel Malaysia 2-1 Singapore Ineligible: Facundo Garces, Jon Irazabal, Joao Figueiredo, Rodrigo Holgado, Gabriel Palmero Malaysia 1-0 Palestine Ineligible: Gabriel Palmero, Joao Figueiredo, Jon Irazabal The remaining two Malaysia matches which they fielded ineligible players during Asian Cup 2027 3rd qualifying round will be decided by AFC. FIFPRO completely ignored the fact that during FIFA Appeal Committee investigation, all 7 players presented the birth certificate of their grandparents, none of them born in Malaysia. That means they know they have no blood relations to Malaysia at all. Which means they have been lying to us all this time. If they have no relations to Malaysia, why didn’t they say so from the very beginning, why they proceed it anyway? Remember Josh Brownhill who rumoured to be eligible to represent Malaysia? It took him awhile to deny it, but he did it anyway. If they deny it from the very beginning that they have no relations to Malaysia, none of this would have happened. They could have simply deny they have any relations to Malaysia, just like what Josh Brownhill did but they did not. Until now, not a single one of them said anything about it or even apologize for what happened but the very first thing they do? They claimed they were victims. Who’s the real victim here?

Absolutely shocked by the assault on journalist Haresh Deol happened in public space in a broad daylight, exactly a week after FIFA Appeal Committee decided to dismiss the appeal from FAM and 7 players involved in forgery and falsifying documents to represent Malaysia national team for the Asian Cup 2027 qualifier. This is clearly an intimidation, an attempt to instil fear and attempt to silence the public from voicing their opinion and views on this ongoing scandal. No one should be assaulted for voicing their opinion on anything, even if you don’t like it. This incident will not silence us the public but will make us even stronger against everything that is wrong in FAM and Malaysian football.

Tetapi seperti yang kita nyatakan, kita ada enam lagi pasukan nasional bawah 23 tahun, bawah 19 tahun, bawah 17 tahun, Malaysian Tigress Senior Wanita, pasukan bawah 20 tahun dan pasukan bawah 17 tahun untuk pasukan wanita.  Pasukan-pasukan ini tidak bersalah, masih sedang berlatih untuk semua kejohanan yang terlibat.  Oleh sebab itu, saya dan Kementerian Belia dan Sukan kena berhati-hati apabila kita melihat dan meneliti apa option yang kita ada.  Saya tahu semua rasa sedih kerana ini melibatkan imej dan reputasi negara dan saya beri jaminan saya akan pastikan saya melihat dan meneliti siasatan Tun Raus nanti dan kalau boleh nanti saya juga nak melihat sama ada sesuai atau tidak untuk kita bentangkan laporan tersebut dalam Parlimen.”
