Join in as we track the great convergence: The everyday parish changes what it means to be the church in the hyperconnected age. It's mysterious & unfolding, but we're tracking the diverse movement of artists, authors, poets & practitioners whose work converges around the shift

I wrote this book with local churches in mind. We can do better at loving our neighbors together. Why not grab a group to “practice the practices” and talk about them? Because we are the Body of Christ, and together we are better able to serve God and his world.

The best writers on place speak of the need for attentiveness, familiarity, silence, slowness, stability, repetition, particularity, hope, respect, love. These characteristics are the fruit of spirituality, but rare in our speed-driven, consumerist culture. -Craig Bartholomew

We teach people how to interact with us. I’m learning some mediums teach people to keep their distance, scroll over, or pass by. I want to engage through mediums that teach people to speak with me, know me, and be known by me.

It is rootlessness and not meaninglessness that characterizes the current crisis. There are no meanings apart from roots. — Walter Brueggemann

In isolation our sufferings are intolerable, but in community we can taste the promise of the resurrection.
