New West Grand Prix

The priority at this time is the health and safety of the community, all staff, athletes, volunteers, spectators, sponsors and stakeholders involved with the event. We will look forward to being a part of the @BCSuperweek series in 2021. Take care everyone.

BC Superweek members, which includes the New West Grand Prix, have made the difficult decision to put the professional cycling series on hiatus until 2023. While the City of #NewWest is disappointed that the NWGP won't proceed, we are excited to host a variety of events in 2022.

@PJNewWest @CanSpice @newwestgp I think one of the women who went down early near the start/finish got up and went on to win the crowd prime. Hardcore.

That @newwestgp was something else. Crashes at 6th and Columbia for the first time ever, including a heartbreaking pile-up on the last lap of the women’s race. And a load of road rash for a few men. Ouch.

Wasn't that incredible? We cannot thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, staff, and collaborators enough for their hardwork and efforts. Congratulations to all the cyclists for racing the "hardest crit in #BCSuperweek" and we hope you come back to visit #NewWest soon!
