They aren't my audience, intended or unintended. I don't and won't fit the "aesthetic" there, regardless of what their guidelines say. I suppose I can't really stop anyone from putting stuff there. I will hate your guts for doing it hereafter, though, whatever that means to you.

@AlluPatronia Paper wasps are generally very docile, inquirous vespids. Associated aggressiveness is usually because of their unfortunate habit of building in nooks on human homes—they're very defensive of hives. However, Veedie being a drone, he didn't even have a stinger. He was very genial.

@Nexial_Machine I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole once and saw a whole saga of a guy who befriended a wasp. Surprised me how it actually became tame and recognized him.

I'd like to commemorate my pet wasp. His name was Veedie, he was a paper wasp drone, and albeit he never quite knew me, I knew him as my little buddy. This picture is blurry and low quality, but I like it. It's as if he's perennially flying, forever envigored, too fast for fate.

I surely will miss the mornings waking up to you buzzing about your enclosure, Veedie. I'm very honored that I was the one fated to care for you; I hope you were comfortable with what I had provided for you. Many loved you more than you could ever know. Goodbye, little buddy.

@GoslingStalker There's solace in that they're not loud for very long, one way or another. Just get through the noise with max-dose melatonin, it can't be worse for you than the water.

@SorcererLance Not really. "Screenshot" is direct implication that it's a screen capture and that's disingenuous. "Look" is fine enough, if vague. It's based on immediate perception rather than an arrogant sequitur of the process. It's not like it isn't anime-inspired, it just isn't a filter.

@Nexial_Machine I think a more appropriate term might be "VHS recording screenshot" or something

I really don't intend to keep saying this but know my resentment for the reductive "filter" denominative. The implication is that I press a couple buttons and it's "'90s Anime"; observers of my process know how manifestly wrong and rashly oversimplified that is.

@Panzerfan93 I'm not upset by you in particular, just the pervasive sphere of language that influenced your wording. It doesn't do anyone any good to sit and let things you love be verbally perverted. I may detail it one day when I have full confidence in its accuracy. I hate bad advice.
