I’ve built a Maya tool called KZ Tracker. It tracks points from reference footage and converts them into animation curves (TX/TY), so you can pull timing and motion directly from video.. Not meant to replace animation just a quick foundation to build on.

There was an old script that displayed the number of frames between keyframes directly in the viewport. For example, if you had keys on frames 3 and 10, it would display '7'. It was a great tool for organizing the timeline and managing animation timing. Would be cool if you could add this to keypro

@Long_Winter niice! btw I found a bug recently. I turned on the hotkey for playback (space). Next time I opened it it was stuck that way even if I turned it off.

Cho'gall for Heroes of the Storm was one of my favorites to try this technique on. He didn't have a lot of bones so some smears didn't follow arcs well so I adjusted some of his attacks
The end result worked out quite well from game view I think

When it doubt, cut frames as my old coworkers used to say. These days, if the rig allows it, I'll cut frames and try to add a form of smear or double my old mentor told me that smears are something that should be felt, not seen unless closely examined. Smears should never distract from or overpower the rest of the animation rig: @KielFiggins @TheGreatJug
