After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on.
I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships.
I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.
Catalonia is my place on earth.
Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years.
A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career.
Barça is back where it belongs.
Visca el Barça. Visca Catalunya 💙❤️

Pas de chance, pas de hasard… juste du génie pur qui lisait le jeu mieux que tout le monde sur le terrain.

🚨🎙️Toni Kroos on the recent Kylian Mbappe – Alvaro Arbeloa public clash following Real Madrid’s victory over Real Oviedo yesterday:
“I’ve seen many dressing rooms at Real Madrid, some full of harmony, some full of tension, but one thing was always clear: the biggest battles were solved inside the club, not through microphones after matches.
What happened between Mbappe and Arbeloa after the Oviedo game leaves a very bad image for Madrid. Mbappe publicly saying he’s the ‘4th option’ behind Vini, Mastantuono and Gonzalo already tells you something is broken internally. A player of his status should never feel comfortable exposing those conversations publicly unless frustration has reached another level.
But at the same time, Mbappe also has to understand where he is. This is Real Madrid. Nobody is guaranteed a starting spot because of reputation, salary, Ballon d’Or talks or social media followers. If the manager believes you weren’t ready because you missed training days, then the answer is simple: stay quiet, train harder and destroy everyone on the pitch when your moment comes. That’s how Madrid legends responded.
Now on Arbeloa’s side, I also don’t like the tone. Saying ‘while I manage the club, I decide who plays regardless of names’ sounds powerful to fans online, but inside Real Madrid you don’t build authority by creating public standoffs with superstars. Great Madrid managers controlled the dressing room without turning every disagreement into an ego contest for the cameras.
And honestly, the whole situation raises uncomfortable questions. If Mbappe is truly behind Gonzalo and Mastantuono right now, then what exactly was the plan behind bringing him to Madrid? You don’t sign one of the biggest players in football history to suddenly treat him like a rotational experiment after one difficult period. Either the club completely mismanaged expectations, or there are deeper dressing room problems nobody wants to admit publicly.
What scares me is that Madrid fans are already splitting into sides: Team Mbappé vs Team Arbeloa. That never ends well. Once the dressing room politics reaches the fanbase, the pressure becomes toxic very quickly. We’ve seen this story before at big clubs.
And the saddest part? Rivals are loving this. Barcelona fans are laughing, the media is feeding on it daily, and instead of talking about football, Real Madrid are becoming a reality show of egos and public statements.
At Real Madrid, winning fixes everything. But if results start dropping while these public tensions continue, this could become one of the most explosive dressing room situations the club has had in years.”

How about bringing Mbappé to Barça as Ferran Torres’ backup?
