My genesis Music NFT on @soundxyz_ is now the trailer to a feature film in theaters TODAY !!! Story time: Earlier in 2022 I'd received a card from the fortune teller at Pike Place Market in Seattle saying "17" would be my lucky number. October 2022, I was graciously asked to drop music on Sound before it was made public. "Free To Love" — I was feeling a little insecure about the song because I'd never released music before that was produced/recorded/written/performed by me. But friends encouraged me saying it was one of their favs, so... October 17, 2022. The song sells out in 1 minute. 25 editions at .05 ETH (around $1700) I then use that money to make more music, create more web3 projects, and continue using all profits to build my catalogue and further my career by moving to LA. Today, that SAME SONG is the trailer to a movie. This was always my goal: Release the song scarcely to people who truly care. Then bring Value via Awareness to it by performing it live constantly and putting it on DSPs. Eventually it would get noticed and end up somewhere big... A MOVIE. Nothing much bigger than that! And guess what? I own the master and the publishing. So when the opportunity came up, I didn't have to ask anyone's permission. I'm able to own all my work because fans and patrons support me.
