Yindjibarndi Elder Tootsie Daniel gave evidence in the court hearings today between FMG and Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation. Mrs Daniel said that the FMG mining "breaks my heart because that country is no more." This is the 13th year of the legal battle.

More to come as Yindjibarndi elder Tootsie Daniels is set to give evidence next. The court hearings will determine how much compensation FMG owes the Yindjibarndi people for mining the Solomon hub on their country.

Yindjibarndi Elder Margaret Read gave evidence in the court battle between FMG and Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corp. Ms Read said she made attempts over the years to see country and was stopped. "That made me feel really horrible, that we couldn't go onto our own country."
