Blimey what a cold and very blustery morning just ventured up the garden retrieving plant pots blown around so decided to bring some pots of compost into my conservatory and presoak them before transplanting up with tomato seedlings tomorrow 🍅🌱

Wow look at my magnolias, first one stellata not sure of the name of the other one but look at the size of their flowers 😲 #eastyorkshire

Beautiful Mt Aso Salix ❤️❤️❤️

The sun is shining and the sky is blue (about time such a dreary grey wet week) #eastyorkshire Sweet pea sowing today & experimenting pre planting onion sets in modules prior to planting out in the spring. Just look at my Mt Aso Salix stunning pink catkins ❤️

It's new shed day 🌧️🌧️🌧️ #loveit!!!

The tops from my large contorted hazel have been repurposed as 'phantom' trees in my garden borders for the wildlife

Remember the huge contorted hazel I lightly trimmed last winter it responded well so the saw came out today to take it down to 1m to encourage more branches from lower down & leaving a few younger branches. Winter clematis on the wall will be reduced by a third in the spring.

New shed arriving Tuesday 😀

Didn't have any nut crackers so pliers and secateurs worked a treat to get the seeds from the apricot stones only 4 viable seeds so planted them in this pot on my kitchen windowsill nurturing them let's see if any germinate 🤞 #eastyorkshire #apricottreeexperiment #WatchThisSpace

Lots of bulbs potted up today for @HookGClub Spring Fundraiser. Wild garlic & generously donated from @FarmerGracy a lovely selection of crocus, narcissi & various Tulips ❤️ Temporarily on the raised bed until the spring when it will become the onion bed 🧅

Finally got around to taking my new sign to where it belongs ❤️

relocated the bricks from in-between my wildflower beds. Just need to 'acquire' a few more old bricks. Then I'll fill the gaps with horticultural grit & sow/plant creeping thyme in the spring. The bricks will bed in naturally carpet haven of thyme flowers for the bees this summer

Another little project this area was where a raised bed was but removed it last year and levelled for easier access to the 'working garden' area. Was going to grass it then had an idea ....💭🤔 Always need an extra hard standing or even bird bath (metal dustbin lid) so .....
