I recently sat down for a highly productive session with Internet Alliance Malaysia. As the collective voice representing the nation's major internet service and 'middleware' infrastructure providers, their work forms the essential backbone of Malaysia's growing digital economy.

Melihat semangat dan keberanian generasi muda hari ini memberi keyakinan bahawa obor perjuangan akan terus dibawa ke hadapan. Anak muda bukan sekadar pewaris masa depan, tetapi penggerak perubahan yang sedang mencorakkan Malaysia yang lebih baik.

Bersemuka bersama anak-anak muda dari DAPSY Selangor. Ada dari mereka yang datang dari pelbagai universiti malah ada juga yang sedang bekerja dalam sektor profesional dan ada juga yang sedang berbakti sebagai Ahli Majlis dan Penggerak Belia Selangor.

Today, we celebrated the launch of NEXTDC’s first international data centre and "AI Factory" in Petaling Jaya. This AUD$1 billion investment establishes a vital regional platform for artificial intelligence and cloud computing across Southeast Asia.

I chaired an engagement session with the United States-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC), which brought together 22 United States companies based in Selangor to discuss strategic collaboration opportunities and the future direction of the state’s economic growth. Also present during the session were His Excellency Brian D. McFeeters (ret.), Interim President & CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council and former United States Ambassador to Malaysia, as well as Ms Tina Jamaluddin, Chief Representative for Malaysia at the US-ASEAN Business Council. The dialogue session was joined by representatives from leading multinational corporations including IBM, Amazon, Apple, Boeing, Micron, Mastercard, Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Zuellig Pharma, Cargill and several other global companies with operations and investments in Selangor. Discussions focused on Selangor’s strengths as a premier regional investment destination, particularly in talent development and skilled workforce readiness, sustainable water supply, as well as state policies and investor-friendly approaches that support industrial growth and emerging technologies. During the dialogue, participating companies also shared their perspectives and recommendations on the development of high-technology industries, artificial intelligence (AI), global supply chains, the pharmaceutical sector, digitalisation, and the need to further strengthen the investment ecosystem to ensure sustainable growth in Selangor. I reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to continuously enhancing Selangor’s competitiveness through infrastructure development, technological innovation, efficient governance and close collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure Selangor remains a leading economic and technology hub in the region. The presence of these global companies reflects the international business community’s continued confidence in Selangor’s stability, capabilities and future as a high-value investment destination. #KitaSelangor

Semua pandangan ini akan dibawa ke Jawatankuasa Task Force Krisis Selangor untuk tindakan susulan.

Sesi meja bulat bersama dewan-dewan perniagaan bagi membincangkan krisis tenaga susulan ketegangan geopolitik di Timur Tengah. Antara isu utama yang dibangkitkan termasuk ketidaktentuan harga minyak global dan domestik, peningkatan kos operasi serta kerenah birokrasi.
