So we're going to have legislation introduced to reverse #smokefree laws that will be passed under urgency, without select committee review, without public consultation, based on false assertions, that experts and officials reject. This is not how serious govt shd work.

Being with my darling Mum who is in her last years of her life, feeling so bewildered by the crazy US system of social security, Medicare plus other insurance and feeling so grateful NZ has universal healthcare yet so sad I can’t pick her up and take her home with me.

@DiSarfati The bravest thing we can do is let go of our personal crusades & bias. Redirect this energy & resource and unite for a common set of outcomes. Too many silos. @DiSarfati your appointment is the most hopeful I have been about NZ improving outcomes for whānau impacted by cancer.

NZ is to have a Cancer Control Agency to address substandard outcomes, postcode lottery for care and inadequate funding. A wonderful Father's Day for Dads who have lost loved ones, supported loved ones, are living with and were living with cancer. nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/articl…

FFS I’m sick of hearing people say “there was nothing in the budget for me.” Parents of kids in decile 1-7 schools have no ‘donations’ to pay. That’s a win for all of us right there even if you don’t have kids. So cheer up.

Couldn't agree more @NigelLatta and people in our communities will have greater access to more appropriate mental health support. That impact is far reaching. Happy with the #wellbeingbudget would of been damn near perfect if #Cancer care had been mentioned.

I never thought I would be parenting my children through terrorism. Today, my 6 year old asked "Mum what will the shooter be having for breakfast" I thought this was odd but answered "Maybe cold toast", he responded with "I hope his cold toast is mouldy". Me too.
