The mother of murdered toddler James Bulger has said she felt her "heart break" after finding out his grave had been vandalised. Denise Fergus appealed for information on her Facebook page after two cherub statues next to the two-year-old's headstone had been smashed. James was lured away from his mother at a Bootle shopping centre by two 10-year-old boys - Jon Venables and Robert Thompson - who then tortured and killed him in February 1993. Fergus wrote: "I'm devastated someone could be so cruel and hurtful to my James."
