The Quinnipiac Polling Center contacted me to participate in a recent poll. The survey appeared to be skewed in favor of Mikie Sherrill. While the questions seemed fair on the surface, they were designed in a way that only someone familiar with political polling tactics would notice the bias. Additionally, the candidate descriptions were misleading, slightly favoring Sherrill. I waited for the poll results to be released today, and as expected, they showed Sherrill in the lead with results I believe are inaccurate. After analyzing the poll’s topline numbers, margin of error, and the flawed phrasing of the questions, I concluded that Jack Ciattarelli should be leading. I’ve recalculated the data to correct for these issues, demonstrating that Ciattarelli is the stronger candidate.
