The hatred for Chibi is easy to understand if you know how small, pathetic people work. Chibi is, to be blunt, a dweeb. Then you take The Mob; a group of people who're outcasts, dysgenic, or largely failures in life to some degree. They use online cancel tactics to feel powerful as a form of preservation for their ego. They have no control over their own lives, so they seek to control the world and people around them to compensate. Chibi should be an easy win for them. An obviously porn-addicted dork seemingly born to be shoved into a locker. But dammit, he won't go down. So they come at him harder. Then he monetizes it. Rallies support. And to them comes off as super annoying in the way he does so. People rally around him. The big dumb degenerate nerd is winning. He's beating them. And so they go after him harder. And harder. All rationality has left them behind ages ago, but they don't care. They NEED him to fall. At this point, they want him dead. They want confirmation that he's offed himself. Why? Because if they can't take down a seemingly soft target like Chibi, where is their control? Their power? Everything they need to maintain a sense of self worth and stave off ego death. Chibi is the human equivalent of what the reflecting pool does to the left. A seemingly easy win that they just can't achieve, and so, unable to let it go, they spiral further and further downward to keep fighting this unwinnable battle for the sake of their fragile ego.
