International law has always been applied selectively, meaning there never has been rule of law. The wine and cheese circuit can be mad at this, but they should have been more mad at the total failure of UNIFIL 1701 in Lebanon, to use but one example, and none of them cared.

I grew up in the UK in the 70s and 80s and we watched a lot of American TV shows. The American Dream seemed real and it looked like an attractive place to aspire to live. Now, European culture, democracy & healthcare make the US look backwards and dangerous. Sorry, guys.
