Over the weekend Wrestling put together a solid 163 points to finish in 2nd place at District 7. Noah Zindaki 138, Rafat Al-Kardali 144, and Nick Barone 165 all took home the gold. Adam Suzay 150, Sean Van Dalinda 175 and Diego Cruz 285 took home silver and Adam Janouk 126 bronze

First sectional title since 2019 for ⁦@wvalleyathletic⁩ wrestling.

Adam Janouk brings the title back to Wayne Valley with a victory in the final bout. The Indians become the first public school to win their section as the seventh seed after beating Montville, 32-24.

The match will start at 132 pounds. Expect Wayne Valley to start well, then for Montville to make up ground once it gets back to the lower-weights.

165: Wayne Valley's Nick Barone gets the go-ahead takedown with about 20 seconds left and defeats Isaam Gaber, 3-1. 17-3 Indians through six.
