I just met with @garyvee and told him about 3 ways he changed my life: 1) 2017 - daily vlogging 📹 I’d been grafting away at my soccer company making social content to promote it on snapchat. I’d upload the snap stories to YouTube with a SEO title. I’d do this in mornings, lunch breaks and evenings whilst working a banking job at UBS. From 2014-17, it took me 3 years to get to 10k subs on my biggest channel then, YouTube. This is around the same time Gary was doing DailyVee which was a daily vlog of his life/meetings/etc filmed by @davidrocknycz, which I watched religiously. Inspired by creators like him and @Casey I launched the 100 days to pro contract daily series. Daily documenting of my journey using my own app, Train Effective. It blew up. I got it to 50k YouTube subs and millions of views (big deal at the time)! 2) 2018 - hacker house 🏠 Gary once said something like “live with 10 roommates in a shitty apartment and build your startup” So that’s what I did. I quit my cushy banking job, moved away from gf and moved to London - the world’s capital of soccer. With the savings I had and bit of traction generated from the vlog, I went all into getting 4 other early believers who knew me from social media and put a deposit down to rent this North London loft house. So everyone flew from all over the world and we lived, worked, built and played soccer at the Effective House. The main thing we did here is build the app. The word spread. Top designers and coders worked for basically free in return for free accomodation and food. After 2 years of hard graft, this resulted in us launching the app with none other then Manchester United great, Rio Ferdinand who generously contributed his time and image to helping us. We launched to his millions of followers and credibility on socials. Forbes, Sportbible, etc they all covered us. 3) 2020 - tiktok 📱 “Post 4x a day on TikTok and never look back” - something Gary said We were posting on IG, FB and YouTube in late 2019 and we were growing.. slowly. Still at around 60-70k total followers at this time and a couple 1000 downloads in TOAL of our app.. we were struggling to grow. Early 2020 I told the team - Gary’s a prophet, let’s follow his advice. 4x posts a day, let’s go! And we saw the results.. QUICKLY. Every week we were hitting millions of views and growing fast! To the point where we started getting thousands of downloads a week just from TikTok 📈 Today, we have over 4.5 million followers of the Train Effective brand, over 2 million downloads of our app. We do soccer camps too now and we’re getting 100’s of players fly over to London every year which is nuts considering where we were. New sports launching soon too. Consuming Gary’s advice over the years helped so much with where we are today. And it’s only the beginning. He’s extending himself through @veefriends and building something bigger than himself. Whatever Gary does next, you can be sure I’ll be listening intently 😉 Great meeting you G 🤝 Anything is possible, let’s go! 🔥 🔥

haven't been very active in the @veefriends community as of late but every now and then I do check the emails as my main info source of what's going on.. increasingly though I'm just ignoring them because almost each one is a right hook - "preorder this" - "your discount expires soon" - "exclusive early access begins" (to buy something) i screenshotted what's come in recently from no-reply@veefriends.com and it's pretty much all right hooks. 😬 last year you had these weekly "roundups" / "this week in veefriends" which were somewhat informative with what's happening in the community, etc. and that was interesting because from my pov - VF in this building phase rn is ALL about the community. maybe physical collectors appreciate these notifications but for the majority of VF'ers who are like me and here for the long run supporting @garyvee and enjoy being part of the online/offline veefriends community .. it's a bit of a buzzkill no offence hope the team (who are wonderful btw) can read this feedback with open arms!

During high speed moments of the game, it’s especially important to stay consciously aware of the tension in your body and ankle when looking to get past an opponent with a directional first touch. 👇🏼

Top scorer in the Premier League but not selected in the 35-man England squad. This is how he reacts.. It's Monday morning, so if you're feeling stressed around how you're gonna manage everything this week, here's a tip for you: 1) Write down all the things that are worrying you. 2) Cross out the things you can't control. 3) Focus on the things you can control. Have a great week!

SO SMART! 🧠🧠🧠 Following in the steps of the Wrexham story, KSI is taking advantage of the recent interest in national league/conference teams (5th/6th tier of English football) to get them to the big league. Will it work? Maybe. Football clubs are a very hard business to operate. Most don't make a profit. However, JJ has a wild trick up his sleeve and that's his MASSIVE media profile. He's a big part of the reason why Wembley has been sold out multiple years in a row for creator charity matches or, why Youtube boxing took off. Could he sell out Victoria Road every Saturday just by making an appearance? Undoubtedly, yes. Could he be the glue between players, coaches, fans and be that banter link? Of course. The east London club were purchased by US based investment consortium "Happy Fan Group" last month, with former player Anwar Uddin MBE taking over as chairman. They even have Andy Carrol as a player/part-owner (that was news to me!). The cool part of this is JJ was a big FIFA player. Dag & Red is a team he'd try to take to division one in the video game. He'd even go to their matches. It seems authentic, I think the fans are excited for it and there is huge potential. Wdyt?

I’m so excited to start this journey. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge (@Dag_RedFC) back to the glory days. For those of you that are OG fans (Race to Division One), you’ll know that this is a full circle moment for me. So join me on this exhilarating adventure and I’ll see you all at Victoria road this Saturday! I’ll be streaming too haha

@nickhumph @jamesallcott I’m a Spurs season ticket holder but when I’m not at Spurs I go to Hemel and I absolutely love it. Went to Wigan away in the FA Cup with 1000 other ‘Hemel’ fans and being so close to pulling of the shock win. Just this weekend a 94th minute winner to win 1-0, it was fantastic.

"A lot of these lads.. no ones laughing." "Football clubs have become very corporate" Think this paints the picture quite well from my man Steve. At our camps we've taken players to the big Premier League stadiums... the Arsenal's, Chelsea's, etc. It's flashy, nice and if you're a teenager from the USA, it's a must see. But some of the most real, authentic moments come from watching games at the ground we train and play on at non-league Hemel Hempstead FC - a great ground and atmosphere! Courtesy of chairman Dave Boggins whose involved in literally every detail of his club. It's one thing to have George Williams (former Fulham/Wales player) coach you.. but to see them play the next day is a memory players take with them home. ❤️
