@nickmitch89 @MoxieBoosted not sure the docks are relevant here unless you're talking about direct wired connections, which you don't "need" for LAN connectivity. LAN works as long as the devices are connected to the same router network, wired or wirelessly.

I would imagine this has more to do with the inclusion of a mobile version than anything? Like switch to switch is probably no problem. But switch to iPhone, android, general tablet? Maybe that causes issues?

So, if I'm not reading it incorrectly, the new rules doc appears to be indicating that there's no local connection option in Champions Online connection required for both majors and locals alike Genuinely hope this isn't the case as that's a massive step backwards.

@nickmitch89 @MoxieBoosted Technically there's nothing stopping any developer from making LAN play possible between platforms as other games have pulled this off no problem. Local wireless specifically would be a no go since iirc, the Switch uses a proprietary method of wifi direct or ad-hoc, cant remember

@PlayerKallum @lorcylovesyou I understand how you’re feeling. The TCG scene has been plagued with tourists and speculators. But gatekeeping won’t help the game grow and growth is good. TPC has been pretty responsive to community complaints lately, so it’s probably best to stay vocal and hope for a fix.

@PlayerKallum @lorcylovesyou I think it’s more about making the game accessible. Casual fans are more likely to get into VGC via a mobile app than switch title. And local events are more accessible than regionals. But allowing locals to ban mobile would help dedicated fans.

It shouldn’t be. But there’s a lot of dooming around WWE, and the timing looks desperate on their part. I think people just wanna use the opportunity to keep dunking on the WWE product. But like, what else could they do? Go back and fix the last 3 months of booking?
