I am still helping people tackle the fallout from the 2009 economic crisis. Debt was criminalised, businesses and assets looted, entrepreneurs were jailed. Dubai banks received government bailouts but issued Interpol Red Notices against expats struggling with Gulf debt.

Everyone is so quick to post the Dubai real estate index (DFMREI) but only when it’s down But no one zooms out they just want doomsday posts for clicks or they simply don’t understand what they’re looking at On the 1 year mark it’s actually up 0.35% So if this situation only brought us to 2025 prices, your little doomsday posts are just leading to another L on the list

@IrinaHeaver The government doesn't care if you win or lose. If you lose your job or become disabled and broke, they will just deport you back to your home country, who will then provide the safety net. North Korea has low crime too

@A_Berzosa No one will regret it. They can always go back. That's the transactional nature of the place. They don't want anyone becoming citizens and they can deport you at any time. On the flip side, no one has any blind loyalty or any reason to see the city succeed

How could I not enjoy Dubai? All these haters are just jealous cause they can’t experience this beauty, can’t experience a government that cares for them us much I’ve been travelling since 7 years, been to more places than the majority, and Dubai offers definitely one of the best qualities of life!
