For those who aren’t familiar, this is becoming industry standard. Because of how important of a role Steam ratings play, and the proven ability to sometimes flip negative reviews based off of simply interacting with a user, it’s spreading. This is just a very big game doing it.

I miss her terribly already. We hadn't seen each other in years and didn't talk for months at a time but when we did it was like we'd seen each other last week. She always made me feel heard and valued.

My friend wasn't very online and wasn't on this app. It was mutuals on FB who were kind enough to DM me to let me know. I was reminded, again, how deeply embedded social media is in our lives and how I rely on it to know how my friends and family thousands of miles away are.
