The Washington Post laid off the person who covers the Kennedy Center, at a time when the Kennedy Center is being shut down, artists are going elsewhere and the fine arts institutions in DC are in the era of Trump.
I don't know what the thinking over there is at the moment.

Today at 8:30 AM ET they will announce the destruction of the Washington Post on a Zoom call.
This is an explicit decision by Jeff Bezos to take a vital institution—that he pledged to take care of—& destroy it by laying off half the newsroom, ending coverage in whole areas.
