@FreeNow_UK Rather than receiving an immediate warning, I would have expected a proper and balanced review of both parties’ accounts, as well as access to a reachable customer support representative when needed.
@nidush_ Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your issue with a driver. If you haven't done so already can you please contact us at your earliest convenience with more information about what happened?
Breaking my fast during Ramadan in a taxi should not lead to confrontation. When I explained I was fasting, the driver said he “couldn’t know I was Muslim.” I wasn’t aware fasting required proof of religion. @FreeNow_UK
@FreeNow_UK As a Muslim woman in her 30s, I find it difficult to understand how I could reasonably be perceived as a threat to a male driver in this situation. I raised my voice out of frustration after feeling dismissed and disrespected, but there was no abusive or threatening behaviour.
@FreeNow_UK The driver only submitted a complaint after I informed him that I would be reporting his conduct. The timing of the reports should make this clear, and I trust you are able to verify this in your system logs.
@FreeNow_UK I contacted you immediately after the incident occurred. However, my complaint did not appear to progress beyond your AI support system, and instead I received a warning email this morning.
I reported what I experienced as Islamophobic and dismissive behaviour. After I said I would report him, he reported me. Instead of a fair review, I received a warning. Apparently, as a woman raising my voice when disrespected, I am the real threat. @FreeNow_UK
Reporting a driver for dismissive and inappropriate behaviour should not result in retaliation. And customer support should not be impossible to access behind layers of AI.
Disappointed in how this has been handled. @FreeNow_UK
